Ernst Honors Our Fallen Servicemembers at Dignified Transfer

DOVER, Del. - U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), a combat veteran who served in the Global War on Terrorism, joined President Donald J. Trump and the Iowa delegation for the dignified transfer to honor six heroes from Des Moines' 103rd Sustainment Command, including Iowans Sgt. Declan J. Coady, Maj. Jeffrey R. O'Brien, and Chief Warrant Officer Three Robert M. Marzan, whose family lived in Iowa.

Ernst joins the Iowa delegation and Iowans General Randy George and Major General Stephen Osborn to honor the fallen.

"With a heavy heart, it was an honor to pay my respects to these six heroes," said Ernst. "While our state and 103rd Sustainment Command family are grieving this loss, especially of Sgt. Declan Coady, Maj. Jeffrey O'Brein, and Chief Robert Marzan, Iowans will continue showing up and supporting our fellow Iowans during this time. Now that these brave servicemembers have been returned to the homeland and reunited with their families, we will ensure the legacy of their noble mission and selfless sacrifice lives on."
