655 ISRW Leaders gather at Nellis AFB for Annual Leadership Event

Commanders, senior enlisted leaders, and first sergeants from the 655th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing gathered Sept. 8-11 for the wing's Annual Leadership Event to discuss best practices, sharpen leadership skills, and plan for the year ahead.

More than 70 leaders from across the wing came together for the event, which focused on strengthening readiness and supporting the Air Force Reserve Command's ISR mission.

As part of the training, attendees participated in sessions on leadership disciplines and effective communication. They also engaged in small group discussions to share best practices and identify strategies to improve mission performance across the wing's 14 geographically separated units.

The event included a visit to the Threat Training Facility, known as the "Petting Zoo," where participants learned about Cold War-era vehicles, many of which are still in use today.

"This event provides us the opportunity to come together, share ideas, and ensure our teams are aligned to meet the demands of today's complex operational environment," said Col. Jennifer Mulder, 655 ISRW commander. "The work being done across this wing is vital to the joint fight, and these conversations help us remain agile and ready."

Chief Master Sgt. Doss, 655 ISRW command chief, emphasized the role senior enlisted leaders, including first sergeants, play in shaping the wing's future.

"Our chiefs, first sergeants, and senior enlisted leaders are on the front lines of developing our Airmen," Doss said. "Bringing everyone together at an event like this allows us to synchronize our efforts and continue to grow the next generation of ISR professionals."

Headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, the 655th ISRW is the Air Force Reserve's only intelligence wing. With more than 1,100 members spread across 14 locations, its Airmen provide critical intelligence support to combatant commanders and national decision-makers worldwide.
