President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Secretary-General of the UN Tourism Organization Shaikha Nasser Al Nuwais.
The President thanked her for visiting Armenia and for the continued attention being paid to Armenia.
The Secretary-General of the UN Tourism Organization expressed her gratitude for the reception, noting that she is pleased to visit Armenia and has a special regard for our country.
During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for developing various areas of tourism in Armenia. Particular importance was attached to the development of medical and health tourism, taking into account Armenia's existing potential.
The sides noted that strengthening peace and stability in the region is an important prerequisite for the further development of tourism and an increase in tourist flows.
