President of Georgia Hosted at Working Lunch by Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic

The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili and the accompanying delegation were hosted at a working lunch by the Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, Richard Raši.

The meeting focused on prospects for strengthening interparliamentary cooperation, with particular emphasis on the central role that collaboration between the respective legislative bodies plays in relations between Georgia and Slovakia.

In addition, special note was taken of the traditionally friendly ties between the Georgian and Slovak peoples, their cultural affinity and shared values.

The parties also reviewed ongoing global developments and addressed common geopolitical challenges facing their respective countries.

The President of Georgia signed the Honorary Guestbook.

The meeting was attended by Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee; George Zurabashvili, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia; Konstantine Kvachakidze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Slovak Republic; and representatives of the Administration of the President of Georgia.
