Armenian Cultural Gala held in Cyprus

On 24 September, as part of the events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia, the Armenian Cultural Gala, organised by the VFF Foundation with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Cyprus, was held at the Strovolos Municipal Theatre. The Gala was honoured by the presence of Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Cyprus Clea Hadjistephanou Papaellina, as well as high-ranking officials and members of the diplomatic corps.

The artistic programme featured The Komitas Project, presented by the State Song Theatre of Armenia, offering a contemporary interpretation of the musical legacy of Komitas Vardapet, followed by a contemporary dance performance Khali by the Yerevan State Pantomime Theatre, inspired by the traditional Armenian carpet and its rich cultural symbolism.
