NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (August 24, 2026) - Middle school students in New Brunswick will start their days 30 minutes later this fall under a new schedule designed to improve transportation efficiency and boost adolescent health.

Classes at New Brunswick Middle School and Pathways Middle School will now run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Superintendent Dr. Aubrey Johnson announced.

Drivers and commuters should expect shifted morning and afternoon congestion around school zones, as peak drop-off and pickup traffic shifts 30 minutes later starting this September.
