City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) facilities will be closed on Tuesday, January 6 due to ongoing hazardous road and weather conditions. Juneau School District (JSD) schools will also be closed tomorrow. CBJ staff will continue to provide services remotely where possible.
CBJ encourages all residents to stay off the roads for their safety and the safety of others, and to allow snow removal teams to do their work as safely and efficiently as possible.

CBJ Facilities Closed - January 8:
Capital Transit continues to operate on winter routes. Visit juneaucapitaltransit.org for more information.
CBJ is performing ongoing assessment, monitoring and clearing of roofs at CBJ facilities, and continuing to ramp up staffing and resources to support these efforts.
CBJ staff and our agency partners at the National Weather Service and Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities are closely monitoring the incoming atmospheric river and associated impacts, including the increasing avalanche risk.
