New pet insurance available to employees

Boise State offers pet insurance through Nationwide as a voluntary benefit, providing employees a way to manage the cost of veterinary care. Plans are designed for flexibility, with options tailored to individual pet needs. Coverage may include accidents, illnesses and wellness care, supporting both unexpected injuries to routine checkups.

With Nationwide pet insurance, employees may visit any licensed veterinarian, submit claims easily and receive reimbursement for eligible expenses after the deductible is met. Plans are available for a range of pets, including dogs, cats and some exotic animals. Coverage may extend to diagnostics, procedures and emergency care.

Benefit enrollment may occur at any time during the year, beginning April 27, 2026.
