Chris Hallett, founder of Wave Communications Group, has spent more than 35 years in corporate IT and business leadership. Throughout his career, Chris has worked closely with SME founders and leadership teams, helping businesses grow faster with greater clarity, direction, and purpose.

That experience inspired Purpose Before Profit, a practical and thought-provoking guide for founders and managing directors who want to build successful businesses without losing sight of their values, well-being, and long-term vision.

The book was developed alongside fellow Chamber members Dr Nicola Russell Johnson and Peter Russell of Writing Dr, a specialist writing coaching and publishing business supporting entrepreneurs, consultants, and thought leaders to transform their expertise into professionally published business books.

After meeting at a Chamber event, Chris worked with Writing Dr to help shape, structure, refine, and publish the book, turning decades of leadership experience into a clear and accessible guide for today's SME leaders.

Built around six pillars of purpose-led leadership - Compelling Vision, Team Alignment, Emotional Freedom, Authentic Leadership, Daily Self-Care, and Growth-Focused Leadership; Purpose Before Profit combines practical experience with actionable insights designed to help business owners lead with greater confidence, resilience, and intention.
