US-12 closed near Greer due to wildfire
GREER - The Idaho Transportation Department has closed U.S. Highway 12 near Greer due to wildfire activity in the area.
The highway is closed in both directions between the Clearwater-Lewis county line and Greer between mileposts 49 and 51. Travelers should use an alternate route and avoid the area to allow firefighters and emergency personnel to safely respond to the wildfire. The closure will remain in place until conditions allow the highway to safely reopen.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and check Idaho 511 for the latest road conditions and closures.
