KAUPE'A TRAFFIC CALMING STUDY

SEPTEMBER 1-4, 2026

This notice is to advise residents about a traffic study (red marked area above) to be conducted by DHHL's engineering consultant, Austin, Tsutsumi, & Associates (ATA). This traffic study will help determine whether traffic calming measure(s) may be appropriate along Kamaaha Avenue and Puainako Street. Data will be collected at the following four locations:

• Puainako Street between Kapolei Parkway and Kamaaha Avenue

• Kamaaha Avenue between Puainako Street and Kahanalei Street

• Kamaaha Avenue between Kahanalei Street and Lahi Street

• Kamaaha Avenue between Lahi Street and Kapolei Parkway

Residents are advised to stay alert for ATA personnel and equipment in the area the first week of September.

The traffic study will be presented at a future Hawaiian Homes Commission meeting.
