Kansas City area maintenance work for April 6-11

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from April 6 through April 11. All work is weather permitting.

JACKSON COUTNY

Interstate 35 northbound and southbound between Interstate 670 and Summit St.: various lane closures on Tuesday, April 7 and Wednesday, April 8, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for litter removal.

Interstate 70 eastbound on-ramp from Broadway Blvd/6th St.: ramp closed on Wednesday, April 8, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., for drain repairs.

Interstate 670 eastbound ramp to Central St.: ramp closed on Wednesday, April 8, from approximately 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., for litter removal.

I-35 northbound near Kansas State line: left and right lane closed on Saturday, April 11, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for graffiti removal.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Route V between NE 251 Rd. and NE 500 Rd.: full closure on Tuesday, April 7, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert replacement work.

Route OO between NW 575 Rd. and NW 450 Rd.: full closure on Thursday, April 8, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for culvert replacement work.

PETTIS COUNTY

Route Y: full closures from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily for culvert replacement work

  • Monday, April 6: between Schenk Rd. and Mahin Rd.
  • Tuesday, April 7: between Mahin Rd. and Curtis Rd.
  • Wednesday, April 8: between Thomas Rd. and Thomas Rd.
  • Thursday, April 9: between Purchase Rd. and Van Natta Rd.

SALINE COUNTY

Route P between Missouri Highway 240 and Route D: full closures on Monday, April 6 until Wednesday, April 9, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for culvert replacement work.

MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
