We have concluded the Informal Meeting of European Union Foreign Affairs Ministers. During the meeting, I had the opportunity to inform my counterparts about the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean. I particularly referred to issues concerning violations of International Law.

Greece has consistently stood by International Law. Greece has always stood in favour of the peaceful resolution of disputes. On the other hand, there is no possibility that we will accept any compromise regarding our sovereignty and our sovereign rights.

We believe that we will have the immediate solidarity of the European Union and its member states in the event of any act of aggression. Aggression, wherever it comes from, has no colour. It must be confronted with unity and resolve.
