Dive Into Summer With Henderson Classes, Events and Activities for All Ages

Registration for Popular Summer Programs Is Now Open

HENDERSON, Nev. (May 12, 2026) - Dive in, cool down and get ready to soak up the most exciting events and activities in Henderson. Registration for the City of Henderson's widely popular summer activities, events and classes is now open!

Whether you're looking to spend time in the sun or try your hand at a new hobby, the City's summer lineup has something for everyone. New activities this year include:

• Running the Rec: The ultimate teen hangout at Valley View Rec Center with open access basketball courts, volleyball, racquetball, game room and fitness room on multiple dates from June to August.
• Flashlight Scavenger Hunt: A hunt in the dark event for kids ages 8 to 14 at Whitney Ranch Rec Center on July 24.
• Farm to Table 101: A hands-on workshop for those interested in how they can get the most of their garden on Aug. 8 at Pumpkin Park.

Returning favorites include the summer pool party series at Henderson Multigenerational Activity Pool from June to August, and the famous Cardboard Boat Regatta on July 25.

Access to events like these is made possible by the Henderson Parks and Recreation team, whose dedication to creating safe spaces, programs and experiences helps residents stay healthy, connected and engaged in their community.
