WASHINGTON - Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) will attend a solemn dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base tomorrow, December 17, to receive the remains of two Iowa National Guard members killed in Syria: Sgt. William Nathaniel "Nate" Howard of Marshalltown and Sgt. Edgar Torres-Tovar of Des Moines.
President Donald Trump, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Chief of Staff of the Army General Randy George are also scheduled to attend.
Grassley spoke on the Senate floor on Monday to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers.
