Washington, D.C. - Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., demanded the Department of Justice (DOJ) immediately hand over any reports documenting interviews from the FBI's Jeffrey Epstein investigation, after his investigators discovered the FBI conducted an interview with a banker closely tied to Epstein, but failed to release the document recording the interview, known as a "302 report."
Wyden demanded the DOJ and FBI "immediately produce copies of all FBI 302 reports related to investigations into Epstein and his associates, including but not limited to 302s generated from interviews with employees of JPMC, Deutsche Bank and Bank of America," in his letter to Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel.
Wyden became aware of the interview report as part of his ongoing investigation into the financial aspects of Epstein's sex trafficking operation. Last month, Wyden published a report with evidence that executives at JPMorgan Chase, Deutsche Bank and Bank of America violated federal anti-money laundering laws by failing to screen and report at least $1.4 billion worth of Epstein's suspicious financial transactions in a timely manner.
"By looking the other way for decades, the banks allowed Epstein to have ready and reliable access to cash necessary to recruit, harbor and transport young women and underage girls for the purpose of human trafficking and sexual abuse," Wyden wrote to Blanche and Patel.
