Episcopia Bihor-Hungary railway link rehabilitation

Renewal works were completed on the railway section between Episcopia Bihor station and the Hungarian border.

Salcef Group has successfully completed the rehabilitation of the railway section between Episcopia Bihor station and the Hungarian border, as part of the broader modernization project of the Cluj Napoca - Oradea - Episcopia Bihor line.

The works involved renewing around 6.4 km of track, replacing two turnouts, and upgrading four level crossings to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability along this strategic TEN-T corridor.

Following completion, rail service was restored on 31 July at 4:00 p.m., marking an important milestone for cross-border connectivity.
