PPG excimer UV coatings receive 2026 Ringier Technology Innovation Award

PITTSBURGH, July 14, 2026 - PPG (NYSE: PPG) today announced that PPG excimer ultraviolet (UV) matte-finish coatings for consumer electronics have been recognized with the 2026 Ringier Technology Innovation Award in the Coatings Industry category. The annual awards, which recognize products and technologies that advance the coatings industry through innovation and practical application, were presented during the recent China Coatings & Ink Summit & Expo in Shanghai.

Excimer coatings are cured using specialized excimer (excited dimer) UV light that forms an ultra-matte, soft, skin-like texture.
