Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting on April 5th at Russell Square Park

Denver - Thursday, June 25, 2026 - The Denver Police Department announces the arrest of 18-year-old Dazirius Wilford (DOB: 1/28/08) in relation to one of the fatal shootings that occurred on April 5, 2026, in Russell Square Park.
After extensive investigative work, detectives identified Wilford as a suspect in the shooting death of 18-year-old Pharrow Ware. On June 24, 2026, Wilford was arrested and is being held for Investigation of First Degree Murder.
Per standard protocol, the final determination of charges will be made by the Denver District Attorney's Office. Due to the ongoing investigation further details are not available and the arrest affidavit is sealed at this time.
