Lane and ramp closures along I-29 in Clay & Platte Counties for guardrail operations, NOW - Mar. 1

CLAY AND PLATTE COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing guardrail replacement resulting in various traffic modifications, on Interstate 29 from just south of Mexico City Ave. to U.S. 69. This project will take place over the winter months and motorists may experience delays through March 1. Traffic impacts will be shared as work is scheduled. All work is weather permitting.

The following locations will experience intermittent lane and ramp closures NOW - March 1, Mon. - Fri.

  • Daytime intermittent lane closures for guardrail replacement 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM:
    • NB I-29 to US 152 single lane ramp closure, Mon., Feb. 2 until Wed., Feb. 4
  • Overnight intermittent ramp closures for guardrail replacement on NB I-29 7:00 PM until 6:30 AM:
    • NB I-29 over NW 120th St., single lane ramp closure, Mon,. Feb. 2 until Tues., Feb.3
    • NB NW Gateway Ave. to NB I-29 ramp CLOSED, Wed., Feb. 4 until Thurs., Feb. 6, Mon. Feb. 9
    • NB I-635 to NB I-29 ramp CLOSED including single lane closure on mainline I-29, Mon., Feb. 9
    • NB I-29 to NW 64th St. ramp CLOSED, Tues., Feb. 11
    • NB I-29 to NW 72nd St. ramp CLOSED, Wed., Feb. 12
  • Overnight intermittent lane closures for guardrail replacement on NB I-29 7:00 PM until 6:30 AM:
    • SB I-29 at the I-635 interchange left lane closure, Mon., Feb. 9 until Fri., Feb. 6
    • NB I-29 over 120th St., single lane closure, Thurs., Feb. 13

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris form the roadway.
