The SEMA Show is where vocational, recreational, professional, and enthusiast automotive communities all gather-a sort of Super Bowl for car culture. During the week, you'll rack up a total step count in the six-digit range. While the main attraction is at the Las Vegas Convention Center, car culture spills out across the city, providing entertainment even after the show's security shuts things down for the night. Instead of heading straight to your hotel, despite your body begging for rest, you can venture out and fully immerse yourself in yet another round of automotive excellence.
NHRA Nevada Nationals
If you've been roped into setting up your company's booth for SEMA, consider planning to arrive the weekend before the big week. This will give you the perfect opportunity to catch the NHRA Nevada Nationals! Running from October 30 through November 2, 2025, this drag racing event takes place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and offers a front-row seat to some of the most thrilling drag racing in the country.
The Nevada Nationals features Top Fuel Dragsters, Funny Cars, Pro Stock vehicles, and even Pro Stock motorcycles. It's a spectacle of raw horsepower, split-second reactions, and insane launches that will get your adrenaline pumping. Beyond the racing, the event offers a full weekend of fan experiences, from pit access to meet-and-greets with drivers, giving attendees a chance to immerse themselves in the culture and community of drag racing.
Arriving early not only lets you enjoy the race action but also gives you a head start on the SEMA setup, all while soaking in the sights, sounds, and smells that make Las Vegas Motor Speedway a must-visit destination for the automotive and drag race enthusiasts.
NASCAR Racing Experience
After what is typically a wild first day of SEMA, you can head back to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Instead of watching cars blast down the track in a straight line, you can take control and turn left four times around a 1.5 mile oval track with 12 to 20 degrees of banking in the turns. After a driver's meeting with training, instruction and provided gear, you will set off for timed solo racing sessions. There is no lead car and no instructor by your side-just you, the track, and one-on-one guidance from a spotter over the in-car radio. Space is limited, so it is a good idea to book early if you want to secure your spot.
If you are not quite ready to take the wheel, the NASCAR Ride Along is a perfect alternative. Buckle up for three high-speed laps as a professional racing instructor takes the wheel. It is a thrilling introduction to the raw power and precision of NASCAR, and the experience can be scaled up with options for six laps or advanced sessions, giving you up to 48 minutes of track time.
Whether you are hitting the track solo or riding shotgun, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway NASCAR experience is a full-sensory, adrenaline-pumping experience.
K1 Karting
If there is ever a team-building exercise everyone should try, it is K1 Karting. It's your chance to show off your skills (and maybe a little friendly dominance) against coworkers or even your boss. Squeak past them in a corner, block their ability to pass, and lap after lap prove who really has the driving edge. The thrill of racing, combined with the friendly competition, makes it an unforgettable way to blow off steam after a long day at SEMA. It's fast, fun, and a perfect way to bond with your team in a high-energy, adrenaline-filled environment.
Once the checkered flag waves, K1 Karting keeps the fun going off the track. They offer a full menu of food and drinks, making it easy to refuel and unwind while comparing lap times and reliving the most daring passes. Whether you're grabbing a burger, sipping a cold drink, or just laughing about the chaos on the track, the post-race atmosphere is as much a part of the experience as the racing itself.
It's the perfect blend of competition, camaraderie, and casual relaxation to cap off an action-packed SEMA evening.
Food
More important than experience is food, and when it comes to Las Vegas, you should never limit yourself to convention center meals alone. The city is home to a vast array of restaurants, offering everything from simple burgers and fries to high-end hotel dining. But for those who want to keep the automotive vibe going, there are also themed restaurants that combine great food with a car-inspired atmosphere.
A few standout options include Back to the 80s Cafe & More Las Vegas, Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews, and the Peppermill and Fireside Lounge. Each offers a unique setting that celebrates car culture while serving up delicious meals, making them perfect spots to refuel after a busy day of SEMA activities. Whether you're grabbing a casual bite or enjoying a sit-down meal, these destinations let you stay immersed in the automotive world while satisfying your appetite.
Local Automotive Scene
While we can't provide exact dates and locations for local shows, the car scene in Las Vegas is thriving. From classic hot rods to modern muscle, imports to exotics, there is something for every enthusiast to enjoy. Exploring the city and its automotive events can be a rewarding experience, giving you a closer look at the community that fuels Vegas' love for cars.
Finding these meets usually consists of word of mouth or some attention paid to social media and hopping into the rental. This can lead to some unexpected networking opportunities and plenty of fun along the way, and most of all getting off the strip for a while. While the SEMA Show showcases some of the wildest and most extravagant rides, the local car scene offers something more relatable and personal, bringing the passion for cars back down to street level. It's a chance to connect with fellow enthusiasts and experience the heartbeat of Vegas automotive culture.
SEMA Fest
To cap off SEMA, is SEMA Fest, which is back for its third year on Friday, November 7, 2025. This annual celebration of car culture brings together live music, motorsports, and custom vehicles for an unforgettable experience. The 2025 lineup features Queens of the Stone Age, The Black Crowes, and Neon Trees, along with adrenaline-fueled automotive demonstrations, drifting exhibitions, and high-performance showcases. Fans will also have the chance to see exclusive custom and concept vehicles up close, many of which cannot be found anywhere else.
SEMA Fest combines the thrill of live entertainment with the excitement of automotive innovation. Enthusiasts can cap off their SEMA week by exploring the SEMA Show during its public access on November 7, gaining a behind-the-scenes look at the trends, builds, and innovations shaping the aftermarket industry. Since its debut in 2023, SEMA Fest has grown into a must-attend event, celebrating the unique relationship between music, motorsports, and car culture.
A Week Like No Other
SEMA is a week like no other. Whether you're on booth duties or walking the aisles seeking new partnerships, it brings the entire automotive scene together under one roof, a place where longtime friends and colleagues reconnect. While some might see SEMA as a chaotic experience or the perfect way to catch germs, those who use it to its full potential will find it incredibly rewarding, leaving them on an extroverted high long after the show ends. It's more than an event; it's a celebration of car culture, innovation, and the people who make the industry thrive.
