Stevenson University Recognized as a “Best Value School” in the 2026 U.S. News Rankings

Stevenson University has again been recognized as a "Best Value School" and among the "Best Colleges - Regional Universities (North) by U.S. News and World Report. The 2026 Best Colleges rankings were released Tuesday, September 23.

U.S. News and World Report awards colleges and universities a "Best Value" designation by examining several ranking factors, including academic quality relative to the average price paid by full-time undergraduates after receiving grants and aid. Only schools ranked in or near the top half of their categories are included because U.S. News considers the most significant values to be among colleges that are above average academically.

"Stevenson is proud to be consistently ranked a U.S. News Best Value," said Elliot Hirshman, President. "We are large enough to offer students a world of experiences and small enough to care, and with a cost that is competitive with public universities. Our Best Value designation is recognition of the success of our approach."

Founded in 1947, Stevenson University today serves more than 3,700 undergraduate students on its 200-acre campus in Owings Mills, Maryland; more than 1000 master's and professional students annually through Stevenson University Online; and doctoral students in its Psy.D. program.
