Cold Weather Emergency Advisory


The National Weather Service is predicting low temperatures from Tuesday, December 30 through Thursday, December 31 in Broward County. Therefore, the County has collaborated with local community partners to shelter individuals and families experiencing homelessness throughout this timeframe.

Homeless persons are advised to report to The Salvation Army for shelter placement that will begin at 5:30PM on Dec 30. Dinner is optional and will be available at 4:30 PM.

Shelter beds will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited. If the weather forecast changes to predict warmer or colder conditions, cold weather emergency shelter nights may be canceled or extended.
