The Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, is travelling to the United Kingdom, where he will be the keynote speaker, on the morning of Friday, October 10, 2025, at the opening of the 9thHellenic-British Symposium at the University of Cambridge (Jesus College), on the topic: "Greece and the United Kingdom - partners in an age of uncertainty".
As part of the visit, Mr Dendias will attend a briefing at the United Kingdom Maritime Trade and Operations Centre (UKMTO), regarding the Centre's role in ensuring navigation and supporting merchant ships in high-risk areas.
During his stay in the United Kingdom, the Minister of National Defence is expected to visit the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, as well as the National Museum of the Royal Navy in Portsmouth, within the framework of the cooperation of the Greek War Museum with the British War Museums.
Also in Portsmouth, Mr Dendias will visit the Normandy Memorial Wall, where he will lay a wreath and attend a ceremony honouring the memory of the Greek Sailors who participated in the landing.
Finally, during his visit to the United Kingdom, the Greek Minister will have meetings with academic institutions and representatives of start-ups active in the sectors of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence, in the field of Security and Defence.
