The City of Fort Lauderdale is working with FloTech Environmental and National Water Main Cleaning Company to clean and inspect approximately 30,000 feet of stormwater pipes larger than 30 inches in diameter, along with drainage structures within the Middle River Watershed. The findings from this work will help guide future stormwater system improvement projects.
The City of Fort Lauderdale is divided into ten watersheds that help contain and discharge stormwater. This project will take place in various neighborhoods that make up the Middle River Watershed.

Schedule
Cleaning and inspections will begin in March 2026 and are expected to be completed in fall 2026. Work will take place weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
