AUSTIN - The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is hosting a second round of public meetings in Waco and Burnet to gather feedback on the Public Use Plan for Post Oak Ridge State Park. This phase builds on the community engagement conducted in January and February of 2026 and will share how that feedback has informed concepts for the park.
Attendees will have the opportunity to review the directions for day use recreation, lodging and overnight experiences, trail types, and the prioritization of park features. The Public Use Plan will guide future decisions related to recreational access, trail design, wildlife and habitat protection and cultural storytelling.
Maps showing proposed facilities and potential recreational opportunities will be available at the meetings, along with opportunities to ask questions and provide additional input.
Anyone unable to attend can share feedback online through a questionnaire that will launch on June 3. The questionnaire will remain open for 30 days, is mobile-friendly, and will be available in both English and Spanish. The survey will be located on the Post Oak Ridge State Park development webpage on the TPWD website with more information.
