Prime Minister Petteri Orpo has appointed Laura Quist to serve as his second Diplomatic Adviser. She will assist the Prime Minister in international affairs.
Quist will take up her duties on 1 April 2026. She is transferring to Prime Minister Orpo's staff from her post as Diplomatic Adviser to Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio. Quist has previously worked at the Embassy of Finland in Stockholm and at the Department for Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. She holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Helsinki.
Marja Koskela, who has served as Diplomatic Adviser to the Prime Minister since 1 August 2023, will now focus on assisting the Prime Minister in matters related to foreign and security policy.
