The City of Raleigh IT team received a Best of North Carolina Technology Award during the NC Digital Government Summit this August in Raleigh. These awards celebrate the innovative, cost-effective and secure solutions that make a real difference for the people of North Carolina.
City IT's work in launching 'Ask Raleigh,' a modern, customer-facing customer relationship management solution (CRM) built on ServiceNow Public Sector Digital Services (PSDS), replaced an outdated platform with a seamless system that integrates the city's GIS data and enables bidirectional connections with the City's asset management platform Cityworks.
This solution helps citizens avoid submitting requests outside city service areas, while providing staff with real-time data on known issues and repairs in progress. City IT's innovative work significantly improved efficiency, transparency and citizen engagement, showcasing exceptional technical skill, collaboration, and a deep commitment to high-quality public service.
The Best of North Carolina IT Awards honor Government Tech innovations and recognize the hard work and dedication from state and local agencies, universities and community colleges employees.
City of Raleigh IT employees who worked on the project included: Chris King, Bryce Clodfelter, Michael Mears, Jackie Stewart, Chad Foley, Peter Sherman, Veronica Luna, Kyle Mankes, Justin Greco, Tonya Ross-Campbell
