Daytime Saturday, Sunday Lane Closures at 3 locations in DeKalb for Bridge Maintenance
METRO ATLANTA - Contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will install lane closures at three locations in DeKalb County this weekend for a bridge preservation project.

Weather and on-site conditions permitting, these are the closures scheduled:

8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 7
  • Buford Highway over North Fork Peachtree Creek - Two lanes closed
8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 8
  • SR 278 over SR 10 - One lane closed
  • Howard Avenue over Lake Drive - One lane closed
Onsite message boards and traffic control measures will alert drivers approaching these lane closures. Lane closures help ensure safety for workers and drivers through the project area. This $2 M project is scheduled for completion in summer 2027.

Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through the work zone during the project work hours. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
