WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) today welcomed Commissioners Karen Sessions and Brien Lorenze, restoring the Commission's quorum and positioning CPSC to build on its record of enforcement, modernization and consumer protection. Commissioner Sessions was sworn in on August 19, 2026, and Commissioner Lorenze was sworn in on September 8, 2026.
"I am proud to welcome Karen Sessions and Brien Lorenze to CPSC," said Acting Chairman Peter A. Feldman.
"CPSC continues to deliver unprecedented enforcement results, accelerate technology and operational modernization, and break new ground in our mission to protect American families from harmful consumer products. With Karen and Brien now on the Commission, we are well positioned to build on the record-setting results we have delivered during President Trump's second term and move forward with even greater energy and purpose.
"I thank President Trump for strengthening the Commission with their selection, and I look forward to working with Karen and Brien to deliver even more results for the American people."
