City of Columbia release statement following arrest of City employee

(COLUMBIA, MO)- Following the arrest of a Public Works employee, the City of Columbia confirms that the Public Works department is working closely with the Columbia Police Department in its ongoing investigation.

The City is also proactively reviewing internal processes and procedures. Both the Public Works and Finance departments are conducting evaluations to ensure continued accountability in City operations.

The City of Columbia is committed to transparency, integrity, and maintaining public trust. Consistent with City policy, the City does not comment on personnel matters. However, the City will ensure additional information will be shared as appropriate.
