Gina Joiner and Martin Schneider to Moderate Sessions at 2026 National Cleanup Workshop

Geosyntec's Gina Joiner and Martin Schneider from Longenecker and Associates, a Geosyntec Company (L&A), will moderate sessions at the National Cleanup Workshop on September 14 through 16, 2026, in Arlington, Virginia. The workshop is part of the United States Department of Energy (US DOE) Office of Environmental Management's (EM's) ongoing mission in the safe cleanup of its sites.

In addition, L&A will host the "Registration and Evening Networking Reception" on Monday, September 14, at 5:00 p.m. ET. L&A is a Platinum Sponsor of the event.

Gina is a Senior Principal based in New Mexico with more than 30 years of experience focused on the energy, environmental, and infrastructure sectors. She helps federal and commercial clients craft strategic solutions in domestic and international markets. Gina is an active industry voice, including through her service on the United States Department of Commerce's Small Modular Reactor Working Group.

Martin is a Senior Principal based in Maryland with more than 25 years of experience focused on guiding complex federal and commercial nuclear programs. Martin is Senior Vice President for Energy and Security within Geosyntec's L&A Operations. As president of L&A, he helped build an integrated nuclear project portfolio spanning quality, safety, regulatory strategy, waste management, engineering, facility readiness, and disciplined operations programs. In his current role, Martin advances Geosyntec's growing portfolio in nuclear energy, national security, and advanced reactor deployment.

At the National Cleanup Workshop, attendees will hear from senior US DOE leaders, local government officials, and industry leaders about the Department's cleanup priorities, the future of the workforce, and more. The theme of this year's workshop is "Powering and Securing the Future through Restoration and Revitalization."

The National Cleanup Workshop is hosted by the Energy Communities Alliance with the cooperation of the Energy Facility Contractors Group and EM.
