City of Valdosta Announces Chelsea Nevels as Revenue Collections Manager

The City of Valdosta is pleased to announce the promotion of Chelsea Nevels to Revenue Collections Manager within the Finance Department.

Nevels brings more than 10 years of progressive municipal operations experience with a strong background in utility billing, customer service leadership, revenue collection, financial coordination, and cross-departmental operations.

In her new role as Revenue Collections Manager, Nevels will oversee utility billing and revenue collection operations, support customer service initiatives, and help ensure the continued efficiency and effectiveness of the City's revenue management processes.

"Chelsea has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism, and a deep understanding of municipal operations," said Darquita Williams, Interim Finance Director for the City of Valdosta. "Her experience in utility billing, financial coordination, and customer service makes her uniquely qualified for this role. As we continue to modernize our utility billing systems and enhance customer service, Chelsea's knowledge and dedication will be invaluable to both our department and the citizens we serve."
