President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with envoys of the President of the United States of America - Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

From the Ukrainian side, the call was also attended by NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrii Hnatov, Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergiy Kyslytsya, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Brusylо, and Advisor to the Cabinet of the President of Ukraine at the Office of the President Oleksandr Bevz.

The Head of State thanked the American partners for their constructive and intensive work, as well as for their kind words and Christmas greetings to the Ukrainian people. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also asked the American team to pass along Christmas greetings to Donald Trump and his entire family.

The President emphasized that the Ukrainian team is working around the clock to bring the end of this war closer and to ensure that all documents and steps are realistic, effective, and reliable.

The parties discussed certain substantive details of the ongoing work. There are good ideas that can work toward a shared outcome and lasting peace. There has been tangible progress in work on the documents, in particular on security guarantees and economic prosperity.

"Real security, real recovery, and real peace are what all of us need - Ukraine, the United States, Europe, and every partner who helps us. I hope that today's Christmas understandings and the ideas we discussed will prove useful," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

It was also agreed that later today the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov, will hold another conversation with Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
