City Water Safe to Drink - Potential Scam Targeting Water Customers

ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA - City staff are alerting the public to a potential scam targeting Arroyo Grande water customers. Similar to neighboring cities, individuals have reportedly been visiting Arroyo Grande residents and falsely claiming that City water is contaminated, advising them not to drink the water and then attempting to sell water treatment products based on these false claims.

The water in Arroyo Grande continues to be safe to drink and is continually monitored and tested to meet all health and safety standards.

Water quality information can be found on the City's website at www.arroyogrande.org . If there are concerns regarding water quality or safety, please contact the Public Works Utilities Division directly at (805) 473-5460.
