Investing in the future of health care
The application period opens Friday, March 21, aligning with Match Day 2025-a pivotal moment when medical students nationwide learn where they will complete their emergency medicine residency or fellowship training.
Brittany Garza, DO, ApolloMD's 2024 scholarship winner is a first-generation physician who has dedicated the early years of her medical career to advocacy work, volunteerism, leadership, continuing education and mentoring opportunities for medical students and new physicians. Dr. Garza is a 2022 graduate of the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and served as president of the Michigan Osteopathic Association Council of Interns and Residents (MOA CIR). "Emergency medicine is truly more than a career to me - it is my calling, and I can't wait to continue my medical career pursuing my mission," says Dr. Garza.
Scholarship application details
Qualifying applicants for the ApolloMD scholarship must be members in good standing of a US allopathic or osteopathic medical school. They must also actively train in an emergency medicine residency program or apply for an NRMP position.
