Wyden Statement on Trump's Latest Attempt to Bribe the American Public

Washington, D.C. - Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., today issued the following statement after Donald Trump announced he had drained the Medicare Improvement Fund to send a nominal sum to seniors with Medicare Part B.

"This year, Trump handed seniors a $200 monthly Medicare premium for the first time ever, and he also shoveled $20 billion in extra payments to insurance companies selling private Medicare plans," Wyden said. "This is another desperate attempt by a failed president to escape Americans' revulsion with his failed agenda, amounting to one tank of Trump-inflated gas."
