GE Vernova brings integrated electrification solutions to CIGRE 2026 as electricity demand accelerates

  • Technologies across power transmission, conversion, storage, automation and software to help customers respond to accelerating electricity demand

  • Integrated solutions designed to strengthen reliability, flexibility, stability, security and efficiency across the electricity system

  • New technologies, customer collaborations and technical insights planned throughout CIGRE Paris 2026

France, Paris, (August 20, 2026) - GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE: GEV) today announced its plans for CIGRE Paris 2026, one of the world's leading gatherings for electricity transmission and power-system experts, taking place August 23-28.

Electricity demand is accelerating around the world, driven by economic growth, industrial electrification and new large loads such as AI and data centers. At the same time, more generation is connecting to power systems and electricity networks are becoming increasingly complex. Meeting this growth will require not only more generation, but also the infrastructure needed to move, manage and deliver electricity reliably from where it is produced to where it is needed.

At CIGRE 2026, GE Vernova will focus on how its technologies can work together as integrated systems to address customer challenges, from expanding transmission capacity and maintaining grid stability to connecting large new loads such as data centers and energy-intensive industries.

Customer-Centric Outcomes

GE Vernova's technical program will focus on delivering tangible value to operators across four key outcomes:

  • Reliability: Helping customers expand and modernize electricity infrastructure while maintaining dependable power as demand and system complexity increase.

  • Flexibility & Stability: Supporting changing power flows and system conditions through technologies including power electronics, grid-forming solutions and energy storage

  • Efficiency: Using digital technologies, automation, AI and asset intelligence to help customers get more from existing infrastructure and make better operational decisions.

  • Security: Strengthening the resilience and protection of increasingly connected and digital electricity infrastructure.

Engaging with GE Vernova Experts

Throughout the conference, GE Vernova will unveil several key product updates, business partnerships, and technical white papers and a solution paper designed to solve the industry's most complex energy challenges.

Among the papers being published at CIGRE are:

  1. Unlocking Substation Value: Turning infrastructure into data-rich strategic assets - exploring how data fusion turns substations into intelligent, predictive strategic assets

  1. Validating VPAC: Performance, Reliability, and Scalability in Virtualized Protection Systems - outlining a structure testing approach to validate vPAC (virtual protection, automation & control) for critical protection applications

  1. Stability by Design: WAMPAC for a dynamic grid - describing how WAMPAC (wide area monitoring, protection and control) unifies monitoring, protection and control for grid stability

GE Vernova's engineering leadership and technical experts will be present at Stand #C93, ready to provide deeper insights into these solutions and discuss how we are partnering with customers to modernize the grid. Our full schedule of technical seminars and book one-on-one sessions with our experts to discuss the future of the grid.
