Monmouth University has been named to Newsweek's inaugural America's Best Colleges for Women 2026 list, developed in partnership with Gender Fair. The recognition places Monmouth among more than 750 U.S. colleges and universities evaluated for their commitment to advancing gender equity, expanding access to resources and opportunities, and supporting women on campus.
In a statement announcing the list, Newsweek Editor-in-Chief Jennifer Cunningham said, "We hope this list helps identify institutions that are truly committed to supporting women's success, both during college and beyond."
Institutions were ranked across four main categories: leadership, pay and policy, campus safety, and opportunity, as well as meaningful pathways to success and efforts to empower incoming students.
The selection methodology draws on federally reported data and includes state-level reproductive health policy data, offering a comprehensive view of how colleges support women both institutionally and within the broader policy environments.
