U.S. Rep. Ben Cline, R-Va., hosted his annual Agriculture Conference on Oct. 24, touring multiple operations and meeting with farmers and agricultural leaders across Virginia's Sixth Congressional District.
Cline's visits included MC Livestock in Augusta County and the Shenandoah Valley Agricultural Research and Extension Center at McCormick Farm in Rockbridge County. He also led a roundtable discussion at the Virginia Horse Center, where Valley farmers shared their priorities and concerns about federal policies affecting the agriculture industry.
"Virginia's Sixth District is home to some of the most knowledgeable and hard-working farmers in the country," Cline said in a statement. "Whether it's protecting Valley farmland and expanding opportunities for young farmers, putting American farmers first in trade negotiations, or cutting unnecessary government red tape, I'll continue working to ensure our agricultural community has the support it needs to grow and succeed."
Cline represents Virginia's Sixth Congressional District and serves on the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies.
