San Francisco County ― Caltrans has scheduled overnight lane closures on Interstate 80 between 5th and Fremont streets in San Francisco. The two far-right lanes in both the westbound and eastbound directions will be closed to allow crews to install a new electrical system to bring traffic cameras online. The cameras are scheduled to be installed later this year.
The lane closures will take place overnight Friday, Sept. 11, and Saturday, Sept. 12, into early Sunday morning, Sept. 13.
The eastbound I-80 Sterling Street on-ramp also will be closed from 2 to 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12.
Overnight Lane Closure Schedule
Drivers should expect delays when accessing the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge during the overnight closures.
