Addis Releases Statement Following San Diego Mosque Shooting

SACRAMENTO- Assemblymember Dawn Addis (D-Morro Bay) released the following statement following reports of an active shooter at the Islamic Center of San Diego:
"I'm horrified and outraged by today's shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego. No person or community should ever have to fear for their existence. We must condemn all forms of hate in our communities. I thank our first responders and stand in solidarity with victims and survivors during this painful time."
Dawn Addis was elected to the California State Assembly in 2022 to represent the coastal 30th Assembly District, which includes San Luis Obispo, Monterey, and Santa Cruz Counties. She is the Chair of the Assembly Budget Subcommittee 1 on Health.
