Statement: On the Eve of President Trump’s State of the Union Address

A statement from GPA Midstream and GPSA:

Tonight, President Donald J. Trump will deliver the State of the Union address. GPA Midstream and GPSA look forward to hearing his vision for the year ahead.

Over the past year, the administration has advanced efforts to right-size federal regulations. Our members value these efforts, which help ensure the delivery of reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy without unnecessary bureaucratic burdens. We also appreciate the administration's work to accelerate infrastructure development, such as the pipeline projects operated and supported by GPA Midstream and GPSA member companies.

While on Capitol Hill, we encourage the president to urge Congress to make the needed legislative changes to improve the infrastructure permitting process. Efficient permitting is essential to building the pipelines necessary to transport energy from production areas to consumers in the United States and abroad.

We look forward to the president's remarks and to continued progress toward strengthening America's energy leadership.
