Residents interested in learning more about severe weather and how to safely report it are invited to attend a free Skywarn Storm Spotter training on May 13, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Fargo Public Safety Building (4630 15th Ave N, Fargo, ND).
The training is open to the public, requires no registration, and is free of charge.
This session will provide valuable information for anyone interested in weather awareness and public safety. Attendees will learn how to identify and report severe weather, understand spotter safety, and gain insight into regional severe weather patterns in North Dakota and Minnesota.
Skywarn spotters play a critical role in providing real-time weather information to the National Weather Service, helping keep communities informed and safe during severe weather events.
