City Supplements Call Center with GSO Assist

Residents, business owners, and visitors now have a new, convenient way to connect with City services anytime, anywhere. Today, the City of Greensboro launched GSO Assist, a 24-hour online customer service portal and mobile application designed to simplify reporting concerns, requesting services, and accessing City information.

Find the online portal at GSOAssist.com. Download the mobile application from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

The City's Communications and Marketing Department administers the non-emergency service using the Salesforce platform. GSO Assist allows users to submit requests whenever most convenient. The new platform routes requests to the appropriate City department for review and processing during regular business hours. Response and completion times will vary depending on the nature of the request.

GSO Assist functions similarly to the City's Contact Center to connect City employees and residents with City services and information. It allows users to report issues related to City-maintained infrastructure and public spaces, including items related to parks and recreation, public buildings and sites, solid waste and recycling, stormwater management, and streets and sidewalks. Residents who set up an account in GSO Assist can check the status of their requests and view those submitted by others. Otherwise, users may submit many request types anonymously.

GSO Assist supports the work of the Contact Center, which has provided multilingual assistance for residents since 2004. Residents remain welcome to call for service and information at 336-373-CITY (2489) weekdays between 7:30 am and 5:15 pm. GSO Assist also replaces the limited service-request aspect of GSO Collects, the City's Solid Waste & Recycling Department's mobile application.
