In addition to earning commissions, DePhillips, Espinosa and Tripp were honored as Distinguished Military Graduates, which recognizes cadets in the top 20 percent of national accessions.

Cadets in CU's Comanche Battalion must meet rigorous physical fitness demands, achieve satisfactory evaluations in leadership skills, support the community through various service-related activities, and, as seniors, serve as mentors to the junior class members, all while maintaining a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 and a 3.0 in military science courses.

For students seeking leadership skills, service opportunities, or a career in the military (active duty or reserve), Cameron University's ROTC program provides the pathway to achieving those goals.
