FirstHealth Family Medicine-EliteCare Welcomes New Physician

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -FirstHealth of the Carolinas is pleased to announce the addition of a new provider to its team at FirstHealth Family Medicine - EliteCare. Alyssa Hackbarth, D.O., has joined Travis Ross, PA-C, and brings a passion for family medicine, women's health, sports medicine and preventive care.

A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Hackbarth earned her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Utah. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in family medicine at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton where she served as chief resident.

From a young age, Hackbarth felt called to medicine. "Since I was about 10 years old, I knew I wanted to be a physician and never looked back," she said. "I've always loved caring for people, and through my training I discovered that I wanted lasting relationships with my patients-treating them as friends and family while helping them live healthier lives."

Her commitment to compassionate care aligns closely with FirstHealth's core purpose To Care for People.

Outside of medicine, Hackbarth enjoys playing basketball, playing the piano, traveling and spending time with her family. She came to North Carolina for medical school, and during her training met her husband in Fayetteville while he was stationed at Fort Bragg. The couple has since made North Carolina their home.
