Chinese Consul General to Erbil Liu Jun Meets with President of Koya University
On 18 August 2026, Consul General Liu Jun met with Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Zangana, President of Koya University in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and exchanged views on higher education cooperation, as well as the development of green campuses and smart campuses.
Prof. Dr. Zangana noted that the university is actively pursuing digital and green transformation, and expressed the hope of strengthening cooperation with China, drawing on China's advanced experience, and making use of Chinese technology and products.
CG Liu noted that China possesses globally leading technology and products in new energy, digital technology and artificial intelligence, and stated that the Consulate is ready to encourage relevant Chinese enterprises to enhance exchanges and cooperation with the university in support of its development.
