Anand Birje Named CEO of Combined Hitachi Digital Services and GlobalLogic Organization

New leadership model aligns strategy and execution to accelerate growth, AI
innovation, and customer value

Santa Clara, Calif. and Dallas, Texas - August 23, 2026 - Hitachi Digital Services
and GlobalLogic today announced that Anand Birje, recently appointed Chief Executive
Officer (CEO) of Hitachi's Digital Engineering & AI Solutions (DEAI) business unit (BU),
will concurrently serve as CEO of the combined Hitachi Digital Services and
GlobalLogic organization, effective September 1, 2026.

The leadership evolution comes as the integration of Hitachi Digital Services and
GlobalLogic moves from establishing its foundation into its next phase - accelerating
execution, growth, and innovation across AI-native software engineering, physical AI,
data and intelligence, and managed services. Under a single leader, the new model
more closely aligns the combined organization's strategy, investment, and execution
with the DEAI BU. This change is designed to help our teams move faster, unlock new
growth opportunities, and deliver greater value and more innovative solutions and
measurable outcomes for our customers and partners worldwide.

With this announcement, Anand will oversee governance and operations across the
DEAI BU and the combined organization. With a track record of more than 25 years
building and scaling global digital engineering, cloud, data, AI and digital services
businesses, including those at the intersection of physical and digital technologies,
Anand has the experience needed to shape and execute strategy; drive growth; align
investment to strategic priorities; accelerate innovation; and maintain global consistency
and operational excellence.

Also effective September 1, 2026, Srini Shankar, who currently leads Hitachi Digital
Services and GlobalLogic as CEO of both organizations, will transition to an Executive
Advisor role, partnering closely with Anand and providing strategic counsel, continuity,
and deep institutional knowledge as the integration continues.

Anand Birje is an accomplished global technology executive with more than 25 years of
experience building and scaling global businesses and driving organizational
transformations across cloud, data, AI, and digital engineering. Before joining Hitachi in
August 2026, Birje served as CEO of Encora, an AI-native digital engineering company,
where he led the company through significant growth and its $2.35B acquisition by
Coforge in April 2026. Prior to Encora, he spent more than 15 years at HCL
Technologies, holding several senior leadership positions, most recently serving as
President of Digital Business Services, where he led global digital applications and data
analytics businesses and strategic acquisitions that expanded the company's global
consulting and delivery capabilities. He was also among the founding leaders of HCL
Tech's infrastructure services business, helping scale it to more than $2.5B in annual
revenue within a decade. Earlier in his career, he focused on industrial control systems,
