Whether you want to improve your leadership skills, effectively chair a committee or serve your local REALTOR® association or Illinois REALTORS®, participating in the Illinois REALTORS® Leadership Development Program could be the perfect solution for you.

Apply now to be a part of the 2026 program. The deadline to submit your application is Dec. 5.

Up to 12 REALTORS® will be selected for the 2026 Leadership Development class based on their involvement in local and state REALTOR® associations or other groups. Participants will focus on self-improvement through structured training and critical evaluation, as well as collaborating on a group project that concludes in September.

Training topics will include:

• diversity, equity and inclusion
• association governance
• conducting effective meetings
• public policy
• political involvement
• interviews with news media
• on-camera skills and
• ethics

Members should note that participation in the Leadership Development Program does not project or guarantee preferential treatment. The program was created so that the Executive Committee, past presidents and members could identify, train and develop a steady stream of future leaders.
